Transcript Request Draft

Hey Seniors, did you know that colleges need to be sent a copy of your academic transcript as part of your application? Its also a requirement if you are part of the Senior Success Seminar! If you're wondering how to go about getting it to them, then this post is for you!

The guidance counselor at your high school is responsible for sending your transcript; however, they aren't psychic! Get your counselor's email address from the school website, and send them an email to let them know what you need them to do; here's an example of what this email should look like:



Good morning,


This is [your name], Senior Class of 2016.

I am applying to the University of Montevallo as part of the Senior Success Seminar requirements. Please send my official transcript with Spring 2015 grades to the following address at your earliest convenience:


University of Montevallo
Office of Admissions
Palmer Hall
Station 6030
Montevallo, AL 35115


In advance, thank you!



That's all there is to it - your guidance counselor will have your transcript sent within a couple of days!
